NAHJ Announces Award-Winning Journalists Nancy San Martín and Tony Dandrades as 2023 Convention Co-Chairs

(Washington, D.C.) – The National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) enthusiastically announced the 2023 NAHJ International Training Convention and Expo co-chairs, Nancy San Martín and Tony Dandrades.

“It brings me great pleasure to have two industry titans who are committed to bringing together a diverse, unstoppable force of journalists,” said NAHJ President Yvette Cabrera. “This year’s convention will be a smashing success thanks to Nancy and Tony’s fierce leadership and unyielding dedication.”

Nancy San Martín, a deputy managing editor for National Geographic, is based in Miami and works with a team that produces a wide range of stories from across the globe on multiple platforms. 

With more than 30 years of experience that evolved from beat reporter to foreign correspondent to editor, she held various leadership positions, most recently at the Miami Herald and el Nuevo Herald, before joining Nat Geo in 2021.

Tony Dandrades is a Dominican journalist and reporter. He is currently news reporter and entertainment anchor for ‘Primer Impacto,’ Univision’s highly rated daily newsmagazine. Dandrades has traveled extensively throughout Latin America and across the U.S. to cover some of the major news and entertainment events in the world.

The 2023 NAHJ International Training Convention & Expo is a leading experience for journalists and media professionals with the common goal of establishing #MoreLatinosInNews.  This year, NAHJ will convene attendees in Downtown Miami at the InterContinental Miami Hotel from July 12 – July 15, 2023.
